Fork in thy road

Cast light because none of you grabbed a torch.

You cast light from your staff.  This nullifies the mana cost for casting, and you reveal a big stone statue.  There are two doors leading to different locations.  Using your generic dungeon knowledge, you assume that one of those leads to treasure before reaching the final goal, and the other contains monsters, which are always good for EXP.

    stay together and go through the right door

    Decide that you want the treasure from behind the right door first, before you use the magic items you’ll find there against the monsters behind the left door to earn exp.

    Attack the statue. It will probably turn out to be the boss of the dungeon.
