Well now have a chat with your party members and learn a little about them. First start off with bringing Techy some dwarvish brew if the Tavern offers something like that and ask about his hometown. Or homemine, or whatever Dwarves live in.
You have apparently forgotten your original quest, ask if someone has a completed map and copy it!

look for the mysterious mage in the corner of the room
Steal the Wizard Trainer’s hat. You’re not a proper Mage unless you’ve got a nice pointy hat.
