Examine other boaters.

Now you really got yourself confused. What is all this about boaters? Sure, they’re very stylish, but you don’t see how this helps you find that mysterious person/creature that has been monitoring you and your party members. Heck, now that you’re on a boat heading to said mysterious person/creature’s continent you might want to toughen up to be ready for a possible encounter. BOATERS DON’T TOUGHEN YOU UP!
What do you do?

Stop thinking about boaters, you got a flying hat, its all you’ll need to defeat the boss, and Murray of couse, wich porpouse you should ask Jane.

Go to the front of the boat with Techy and try to re-enact that scene from Titanic.
I second Koyal’s third choice (Try to catch a legendary sea monster)
go ask your party what is murray’s purpose
Whine for attention.
I agree, it’s about time we ask Jane about Murray’s purpose.
Train your incinerate spell by casting it a lot.
Look for rats and exterminate them.
ask murray’s purpose already!!!
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody stole your hat! Somebody stole your magic floating hat!
Politely ask the monsters to come out.
ask jane what murray is for
Equip each “boater” to see if they add any stats. If they do then use the one that is the most useful one and prepare for a battle on deck.
