Store the gems in inventory.

You don’t exactly want to put these gems where you can’t see them, and a fictional, parallel reality is probably the worst place for them to be. You just stash them inside Murray. You might, at a later point, drop him off at some mayor’s office, to serve as a signal if crime is roaming freely or a giant monster is attacking the city.
What do you do?

Curl up with Murray and pretend to sleep.
DO NOT DROP MURRAY
when you arrive, check if there’s a bank. if there is, rise murray up and shout “I have a skull bomb!!”
Put one of the gems into your mouth to see if you will have light beamns on your head.
or
Put a gem into your forehead, look to murray and say “Counsin!”.
or
Feed your bird a gem.
or
Point the light beam to diferrent stuff to see how it looks/reacts.
or
Use the “energy” beam to increase the “healing” properties of your “HP Powder”.
or
ZOMG LAZOR GUNS PEW PEW PEW!!!!!!!
Ask Murray to close and open his eyes so you can have a dance party.
