Use animate on something nearby preferably a statue.
Really? Unsuccessful? Keep casting confuzzle until he waste all his mana on protection spells!

Cast invisibility on yourself for a sneak attack!

Challenge them to a battle of wits to distract them while the others find Murphy.

Time to get serius, Amplify Rays voice and music,
Liquify any enemy weapons,
vegitate enemy feet,
Animate any skeletons nearby,
and use mana potions between proceedings if needed,
Let the other party members do their own stuff,
also incinerate whatever enemy you wish and use other powers appropiatly.
OOOh and mix salty HP powder with mana potion!!!

“Sigh” Just tackle him and force feed him the salty “HP potion”.
Keep casting Confuzzle until eventually he loses Mana for his protection spells.
