Check to see if you have one among your other Precious gems
Open up your quest log.
I bet the mysterious person with the torture inventory is EITHER the badit leader or that other draconic guy.
Tell Techy to mine for the gem needed, because he is a dwarf.
Start another side-quest.
Ask Jane to scry on Deblin
Toss James in the inventory, we can deal with his resurrection later
Remember to get a flawed emerald, so we get zombie-james
Find a priest, ask if he has a faulty emerald, if so, kill Jane, and have him resurrect her as an undead again.
Examine your pursuers.
Well… time to head to Joshua. Just skip to the destination (ya right) or the next time the party is attacked, distracted, or seperated.
Get that Fairy Queen to revive James, somehow.
Loot James’s corpse for the money to buy an emerald.
