@John evans: based on my research (yes, i have nothing better to do). When this little story arc started, jane was 8, james was 68…visually, they are the same, while i couldnt find a panel with james current age in the regular storyline, i did make a few guesses…if they both look visually 8, then it can be assumed from those numbers, elves live age 8.5 times slower then humans…assuming that james is currently the same visual age that jane was when she became an undead (that is to say, 24), then james would be 204 right now, this storyline happened, presumably, somewhere around 120 years before the main storyline, not accounting for stuff like how long it was before jane woke up that we dont know.
Fast forward to the next critical moment in Jane’s life

Waaait…How long ago did this happen, exactly? Hmmm…
Go recruit Bick.
Realize she will be able to escape once her mana replenishes.

now get out of there before the natives find you.
go and enjoy the next few years.
Find a place to hide in and lay low for a while
or
Burn the temple to the ground
or
Lead your pursuers into the temple, then seal the front door
Barricade the cave so she can’t get out once her mana replenishes.
Seal the temple with magic so it will take Daiana a while to get out.
Find Bick.

James is 132. Thus, Jane died 64 years ago, and this all occurred sometime thereafter.
So why did she try to kill us again?
@paul: touche, but this is a picture of a squirrel with a rocket launcher (http://www.trondheim-travel-guide.com/image-files/army_squirrel.jpg), i declare your arguement invalid.
