It would make the most sense to put the first five points into mage, so then you get the max level of a mage, and can have higher levels of other things in the long run, that is, of course, depending on how long this adventure lasts.
@Alexander Versatility doesn’t necessarily relate to power all the time. The fact is melee is more direct a form of interaction than magic and archer. I don’t see a problem with it and we will have to wait awhile until wee need to care about other classes.
@Mikemari Our guy won’t cap out before we start a new guy so I wouldn’t worry. At least that’s what I think.
i dont quite understand how an archer can become a pirate but a rouge cant… and id have to say that our guy would probably turn into a warlock… only things that sounds appropriate
i would love some spesific information on subclasses, the other classes (for now) dont bother me but i REALLY want info on mage classes…especially sorcerer and wizard since they were readily on hand
Sorcerers are natural masters of magic. They use intuition and practice more than studying from spell books. Wizards are kinda the opposite. They believe magic requires knowledge and total understanding of the way it works before it can be controlled. As a result Sorcerers are usually more passionate / crazy, and being ready on the spur of the moment. While wizards are bookish and require a bit more preparation, but can master more total spells.
Nah, where’s the fun in bludgeoning people to death? Methinks that sorcerorceness or wizardry would offer more opportunities to general asshattery, like turning folk into crystal ornaments. Can monk do that? Who doesn’t like crystal ornaments?
General asshattery is a creative outfit that should involve warping our context in the most diabolical manner. If we’re just GIVEN it on a silver platter, then all you get is, “SEX CHANGE X, Y, Z OMG LOL!”
I guess id say
Warlock or Sorcerer… but im sure he’ll turn into a priest or something :/
If what dorkknight says then james can def not be a wizard… well because thats not him for shure
actually after reading though it again priest: raise the dead as servants…yay! PRIEST! im sure we’re going to get priest just because people want to do stuff with dead things
The one flaw I see in priest is we’d have to devote a lot of pages to getting these crystals or the money to buy them, in order to raise the dead, be it out of altruism or as servants. Warlock, we’d get to snark around with a new handful of summons every day.
I mean warlock would be awesome in battle but it would mean a more limited mana so James couldent use as much magic to escape from some of his situations like he can now if he needs it for familiars.
sorcerer would mean alot more mana and a wider variety of spells for use and still loads of battle-spells
to Alex: well…im sure the GM’s would (hopefully) be nice, seeing that we only get 2 panels a day they would allow some leisure…seriously, the GM’s know we move slowly so they at least TRY to be funny and move it along at the same time, so im hopeing if we pick Priest we will start with some crystals, and/or find some along the way in adventures
True enough. Perhaps a skill could even be matured to incubate crystals of our own. Ultimately, I hold to my vote of Warlock, but I respectfully rescind my point against priest.
Well, to be official. Multiclass: rogue, subclass: warlock.
One thing we should be considering is how our multi-class is going to buffer not only our class but our subclass and how these checks and balances would define us as a whole. In my instance, rogue would provide us a slew of rogue favorites like steal and back stab after our summonings having drained us our mana. Vice versa, our familiars will most certainly provide us exactly the kind of front line support we need to pull off our bat shit insane rogue stunts. They compliment eachother.
hmm, you know takeing rogue would take away from mage and warlock powers Alex, takeing any multiclass would, personally im fine with being a plain mage at the moment, but i agree rogue would be a great multiclass
also: warlock is my 2nd choise for our subclass, im still rooting for priest though
[...] Burned by a skull…very nice. Atleast you get some info on “evil” guys”, or Rhevale for anyone over the age of 6. Go read about it in your Rulebook. [...]
Ok i’m going for sorcerer, you guys seem to want to use sex change all the time, i don’t get why, but more mana would be great, and we actually become usefull, ray has done the most annoying/usefull things. Sorcerer also fits James’ talents, such as being rude and not paying attention to people when they are telling their tales, poor Jane’s husband.
Seconded Badge, but I don’t care about the non-batttle stuff, andfocus as much as we can on the mage, get OVER 9000!!!!! mage points, then go rogue, and eventually ninja. But if you can’t multi-subclass, then be a warrior. Can anyone say Uber Spellsword Elitextreme?
cool
So, is it not possible be a Ninja-Pirate?
Afraid not
Your missing spearman.
Pirate better belongs under rouge.
umm..what is our charecters sub class.. does he even have one or is he just a mage
He currently has no subclass, you can check to see that on the stats page.
We should totally sub in warrior or archer…
What’s an elf without a sword and bow?
Most awesome, IMO would be subbing Warlock and picking up rouge as a multiclass.
there should be a spearman subclass for warrior
It would make the most sense to put the first five points into mage, so then you get the max level of a mage, and can have higher levels of other things in the long run, that is, of course, depending on how long this adventure lasts.
Why hunter’s icon is smelly poo?
It’s supposed to be a paw
Lotta D&D races there.
Edit: Also will there be a future possibility of a forum driven RPG based on WDYD? You seem to have the stats and lore in check. Community too.
1st paragraph needs a space after first sentence!
I really think rogue and warrior need more subclasses. It just seems unbalanced that archer has just under double the subclasses.
hey it just hit me, whats the max level for a character?

At least in D&D.
I know that darkKnight ive played D&D but this is’nt exactly D&D, like how clerics have infinite casting
THanks for that dorkKnight. I was a bit confused. I think james should go warlock.
[...] your new knowledge is in the Rulebook and you are now aware of Mage subclasses and their different functions. You also now know about [...]
Next..
hmm… if we ever decide to subclass i would like our character to be a monk, so he can help wih melee battles
Now that i’ve read this i agree with an alien, for melee battle help and no longer needing to worry about mana.
Mucho gracias on the new rulebook pages. I’m really liking the looks of Monk and Warlock, personally.
Nah, where’s the fun in bludgeoning people to death? Methinks that sorcerorceness or wizardry would offer more opportunities to general asshattery, like turning folk into crystal ornaments. Can monk do that? Who doesn’t like crystal ornaments?

You have a valid point there, good sir. Nevertheless, I’m still rooting for wizardror or sorzard until more info is given.
I guess id say
Warlock or Sorcerer… but im sure he’ll turn into a priest or something :/
If what dorkknight says then james can def not be a wizard… well because thats not him for shure
i think that we’re either going sorcerer, monk possibly, or warlock…the only ones that seem to make sence for James
actually after reading though it again priest: raise the dead as servants…yay! PRIEST! im sure we’re going to get priest just because people want to do stuff with dead things

Multiclass: Warrior
Sub: Monk

So Ray was an archer at first!?!?!?!?!?
Well… i’d aim for the multiclass of rogue, and subclass of sorcerer, but only if sorcerer got some non-battle spells too.
Seconded Badge, but I don’t care about the non-batttle stuff, andfocus as much as we can on the mage, get OVER 9000!!!!! mage points, then go rogue, and eventually ninja. But if you can’t multi-subclass, then be a warrior. Can anyone say Uber Spellsword Elitextreme?
rouge and warlock
pirates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
